The Shotgun is a versatile weapon system which has been a mainstay of American Law Enforcement.  Spartan International Consulting Group’s Law Enforcement Shotgun Armorer’s Course is designed for agencies deploying either the Remington 870 or the Mossberg 500 series of shotguns. The Remington 870 and Mossberg 550/590/590 DA Armorer Training Course is a mixture of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, enabling each student to achieve a high degree of familiarity with the topics covered.  After completion of the course, students will be able to repair and maintain their agencies Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 series shotguns to factory standards.

 

This two-day course covers both shotgun systems and provides instruction on how to diagnose and repair malfunctions, return shotguns to factory specifications, perform function inspections, check headspace, and more.

 

Attendees will receive a small armorer’s tool kit as part of their tuition.  Graduates of this program will be issued a three-year certification.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

• Mechanically sound Mossberg 500, 590, 0r 590A1 Pump Action Shotgun OR Remington 870 Shotgun.

• Appropriate clothing (students will be working on firearms and will be exposed to grease and oil)

• Clear Eye Protection
